Kathaleen Marie Taylor

“I once was lost, but now I’m found, was blind but now I see.” Kathaleen Marie Taylor, age 63 of Kingsport, entered into the glories of Heaven on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. Kathaleen was born on July 13, 1960, in Galax, VA to Dean and Pansy Hawks. Kathaleen worked as a registered nurse for many years, providing care to thousands of people over her lifetime. In April of 2000, Kathaleen married James Taylor and together they lived a beautiful life together. Kathaleen loved traveling and cooking. She found peace in knitting and crocheting, and she loved spending time with her family. Kathaleen was preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Pansy Hawks. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 23 years, James Taylor; one son, Justin T. Haynes and wife Renee; three daughters, Rachel Jasmine Utt and husband Jason, Josie Claire Howell and husband Mike, and Ariann Gail Taylor; six grandchildren, Charisma Jane Utt, Serenity Marie Utt, Michael Howell, Bobby Joe Howell, Calvin Lee Haynes, and Mabel Emily Haynes; one sister, Marilyn Hawks; and one brother, Ricky Hawks. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023, at 6:00 pm at Carter Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport. Carter Trent Funeral Home Kingsport is serving the Taylor family.
