Sep 16, 1953 — May 25, 2022
Kathy L. Glovier, 68, of Kingsport, TN. Passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022. She was born in Lebanon, VA and was the daughter of the late Everett Lansing Ray Dingus and Mabel Elva Meade Wood.
Kathy was an independent woman who worked hard for her Master's degree from Clinch Valley College, now UVA-Wise. She then became a devoted Sp. Ed. She lived most of her life in Russell County until her illness brought her to Kingsport. Kathy loved to read and spent much of her time doing just that, reading.
She leaves behind to carry on her memory her two sons, Daniel and Matthew Glovier; Siblings, Elaine Wiser, Carol Osborne, Gaye Brown, Vernon “Junior” Keith, Martha Ketron (Larry), Nathan Dingus, Ray Dingus (Terry), Cheryl Trivette, and Becky Bryant (Joe). Many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Holston View Cemetery at 3:00pm. The family and friends will be meeting at the cemetery at 2:45pm. The graveside will be officiated by Minister, Amy Aycock-Sumrall.
