Kenny D Smith

Kenny D. Smith, 79 of Kingsport, a retired Kingsport City Police Officer, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at the Life Care Center of Gray. Born in Duffield, Virginia, Kenny served in the United States Army as a Paratrooper during the Korean War, and retired after working 33 years with the Kingsport City Police Department. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters. Kenny is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Flora Smith; his daughter, Cindy Smith; three grandchildren, Aubrey Herrmann, Tiffanie Martin & husband, Scott and Adyn Smith; and eleven great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 - 4 pm on Tuesday, June 30, 2014 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport. A Remembrance service will follow at Bays Mountain. Carter-Trent County Funeral Home, downtown Kingpsort is serving the Smith family.
