Laetitia G. Grimes

Laetitia G. Grimes, age 97 of Kingsport, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 13, 2026. Laetitia was born on October 6, 1928, in St. Petersburg, FL to Charles and Burnetta Greer.

Laetitia enjoyed working, painting, and making bead necklaces. She also enjoyed traveling and loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandson.

Laetitia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Neal Grimes; and brother, Charlie Greer. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Mark Greer Sr. and his wife, Ramona; three grandchildren, Mark Jr, Mary, and Matt; one great grandson, Hayden Ray; her favorite chihuahua, Sugar; and many other loving family members.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Carter Trent Funeral Home Kingsport.
