Lanny Joe Reeves

Lanny Reeves, age 66, of Church Hill, went to be with the Lord, on Friday, July 31, 2015 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport. He was a member of Higher Ground Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Surgoinsville High School and East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business. He had worked as a financial advisor for many years before retiring. He was a loving brother and will be greatly missed by his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Coleman and Mary Reeves. He is survived by his step-father, Carl Reeves; sister, Debbie Pendleton and husband, Barry; brother, Randy Reeves and wife, Tenna; nephew, Josh Reeves; great-nephew. Rylynn Reeves; and a host of extended family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff and doctors of Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center for their care and support for Lanny. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm on Monday, August 3, 2015 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill. Funeral services will begin at 6:00 pm in the chapel with Rev.
