Larry Gray Holloway

Larry Gray Holloway 80, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. He was born on January 2, 1946, in Dayton, Ohio to the late Folger and Edith Holloway. Larry received his bachelor’s degree from Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky where he played basketball. He was a chemist at Eastman Chemical Company for 35 years before his retirement in 2004. Larry was an active member of First Baptist Church in Kingsport where he served on numerous committees. He loved to travel especially taking cruises on oceans and rivers. Larry had visited all 50 states and 6 continents over his life. He loved watching and attending his grandchildren's sporting events. Larry was an avid bike rider and had ridden over 55,000 miles. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Jo Matusoff.

Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years Linda Holloway; son, Bryan Holloway and wife Kelly; daughter, Keli Allen and husband Jason; grandchildren, Olivia, Ella Grace, Weston Holloway, Carter Allen; niece, Karen Connair; along with a host of friends and extended family.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at 2pm on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at First Baptist Church in Kingsport with Dr. Marvin Cameron officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the atrium.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research or First Baptist Church of Kingsport.
