Larry Jackson Smith, 63, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at his home with his family by his side Larry was preceded in death by his father, Walter Smith; his mother, Mable Smith and brothers, Curtis Smith and Gene Smith. Survivors include his wife, Deborah Smith; daughter, Misty; son, Benjamin Smith; stepsons, Jonathan Barnett and Kevin Young; step-daughter, Rebecca Darnell; grandchildren, Ty Darnell, Chris Young, Kevin Durham and Makenzie Bowen Young; his mother and father in law, Janice and Paul Baxter; his brothers-in-law, Chris Baxter & wife Susan and Robert Barrett & wife Beverly; his brothers, Walter Smith Jr, Kenneth Smith & wife Betty, Carlos Smith & wife Lois; sister, Carolyn Guinn. Visitors may call at residence of Janice & Paul Baxter. A funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Shades of Grace UMC, 313 E Sullivan Street, Kingsport with Pastor Will Shewey, officiating. Music will be provided by Oscar Harris. The family would like to thank all of the hospice nurses and aides, with a very special thank you to Marcella and Joni.
