Margaret Rhoton

Margaret Rhoton, 78, of Duffield, went to be with the Lord (Wednesday July 22, 2015) surrounded by her family. Margaret was born and has lived in Scott County all her life. She was a part of the last graduating class of Fairview High School. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. The family's fondest memories are of Sundays around the dinner table sharing the meal she lovingly prepared. She loved to work in her garden and read a good book. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Edith Williams; daughter in law, Carol Rhoton and her brother, T.J. Williams She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Charles J. Rhoton; daughter, Rhonda Dorton and husband Dale; three sons, Rocky Rhoton and wife Brenna, Allen Rhoton and Jackie S. Rhoton and wife Jan; grandchildren, Tyler Rhoton and wife April, Seth Rhoton and wife Brittany and Brett Dorton and wife Heather; a great grandson, Jaxon Rhoton; three sisters, Georganna Berry and husband Paul, Jewell Osborne and husband Rhea and Theresa Williams and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 till 7pm Friday at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 7pm with Bro. T.J. Hood and Bro. Kenneth Neeley officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 10am Saturday at Holston View Cemetery. Those who plan to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 9:25am to follow in procession. Pallbearers will be family. Special thanks to Margaret's loving caregivers she had in her home and to the care and compassion shown to her from the nurses and CNA's at Nova Healthcare.
