Eunice Morelock Taylor

Eunice Morelock Taylor, 85 of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 12, 2026, at Holston Valley Medical Center. She was born in Blountville, TN to the late Bynum and Ruby Morelock. Eunice attended Old Kingsport Presbyterian Church when her health permitted. Eunice enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, mamaw, old mamaw, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Taylor; brothers, Willard, Leonard, Orville “Doc”, and Kenneth Wayne Morelock; sisters, Beulah Morelock, Lola Zimmerman, and Carol “Sis” Carter.

She is survived by her three children, Sharon L. Bolus and husband John, Jerry L. Taylor and wife Tina, and Tony Taylor and wife Melissa; grandchildren, Brandon Taylor, Alyssa Styles (Casey), and Jordan Taylor (Heather); great grandchildren, Peyton Taylor, Emma Styles, Walker Styles, Wyatt Styles, and Eleanor Taylor; sister, Bobbie Jean Spriggs (Jack); brothers, Paul Morelock (Barbara), Walter “Bud” Morelock; sisters-in-law, Ruth Cole and Elizabeth "Liz" Morelock; along with several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends from 11am to 1pm on Friday, October 16, 2026, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Wayne Morelock officiating.

A graveside service will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park with John Bolus, Brandon Taylor, Jordan Taylor, Casey Styles, Peyton Taylor, and Richie Taylor serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Emma Styles, Walker Styles, Wyatt Styles, and Eleanor Taylor.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the nursing staff at Holston Valley Medical Center, Wilcox Hall, 3rd floor for their loving care.
