Nell J. Miller

Nell J. Miller, age 93 of Kingsport, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 8, 2024.  Nell was born on November 7, 1931, in Rye Cove, VA to Samuel Asbury and Mattie Bray Jennings.  On June 16, 1950, Nell married her soulmate, Earl Miller, and after 74 years of a beautiful life together, he survives. 

Nell loved serving the Lord, and she loved her family.  She was a lifelong member of Cedar View Independent Methodist Church in Kingsport, and she enjoyed reading her Bible and religious novels.   

Nell was preceded in death by her parents; her only son, Mike Miller, three sisters, Edith Cox, Dorothy Jennings, and Thelma Thomas; and her brother, Lester Jennings.  Those left to cherish her testimony and memory are her loving husband, Pastor Earl Miller; and many loving nieces, nephews, friends, and church family. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Lynn Garden Evangelical Methodist Church or the organization of your choice.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Lynn Garden Evangelical Methodist Church.  A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastors Jerry Chandler and Timothy Strickland officiating.  Special music will be provided by the Calvary Road Quartet.  Nell will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Memorial Park following the services.  Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.  Lynn Garden Evangelical Methodist Church is located at 1100 Nelms Lane, Kingsport, TN 37665.
