Nina Collins

d. May 26, 2015

Nina Lucille Collins, 68, of Nickelsville, was called home to be with the Lord Tuesday May 26, 2015. A native of Whitehall, Illinois, she has lived in the S.W. Virginia area most of her life. She worked as a floor supervisor at Bryan Center Health and Rehab for over 20 years, where she retired in 2006. Nina had a caring heart and healing hands, it just came natural to her. To this day she was still touching lives. She was still receiving Christmas cards from those she cared for. She was preceded in death by her parents, Farrell and Jerry Painter and a sister, Melba Milbourne. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Donnie Collins; two daughters, Tracey Begley and husband Matt and Penny Collins; two sons, Mike Collins and Randy Collins and wife Janice; three grandchildren, Tyler Collins, Aubrey Collins and Ana Jo Osborne; sister, Barbara Clymer and husband Gerry; three brothers, Adrian Painter, Don Knoth and Bud Knoth; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Shirley Tipton, Linda Dean, Helen Page and Bobby and Ann Burton. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Friday (May 29th, 2-15) at Scott County Funeral Home. A service will follow with Dr. Todd Cassell and Rev. Steve Collins officiating. Special music will be provided by Cali Shall. A graveside service will be conducted at 1pm Saturday (May 30th, 2015) at the Lane Cemetery in Nickelsville. Those who plan to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 12noon to follow in procession. Pallbearers will be Bill Pat Tipton, Heath Hillman, Jeff Kiser, Dwayne Cox, Bobby Burton and Chris Burton. Don Lucas is an honorary pallbearer.
