Patsy Light

Patsy Faye Light, 75, was born in Russell County, Virginia on December 19, 1940. Following a long battle with heart and lung disease she departed this life on March 28, 2016 and received her new body in Christ. Patsy graduated from Castlewood High School and then moved to Kingsport. She worked at the Press before becoming a fulltime wife and mother. She was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church. Patsy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walker and Elsie Jessee, husband, Harvey Light, and daughter, Sabrina Light. Patsy is survived by her two sons, Gregory Light and Tim Light; six grandchildren, Brandon Hartgrove Light, Peyton Light, Amber Light, Ashton Light, Dustin Trent and wife Tosha, and Kristen Trent; two great grandchildren, Bentley Johnson and Easton Trent; three brothers, Harry Lynn Jessee and wife Helen, Ronnie Jessee and wife Rhonda, and Jerry Jessee and wife Dawn; sister, Kathy Moore and husband Harold; special friend, Lesa Gardner, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews as well as a host of other family and friends. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Pasty Light Memorial Fund, C/O Calvary Baptist Church, 1238 Pine Street Kingsport, TN 37664. Please make checks payable to Bob Seymour. The family will receive friends, Thursday, 5 - 7 pm at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport with services immediately following at 7:00 pm with Pastor Donnie C. Brannen officiating. A graveside service will be held Friday, 11:00am, at East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Bryan Larkins, Larry Hurley, Randy Trent, Dustin Trent, Bob Seymour and Paul Sullivan. Honorary pallbearer will be Harry Lynn Jessee. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Downtown Kingsport is serving the Light Family.
