Kingsport – Pauline Delaney Norman, 75 of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Born in Hawkins County (New Canton community), she had lived in Kingsport for most of her life. She was retired from the Kingsport Press following 30 plus years of service. Pauline was a faithful member of Mt Zion Tabernacle Church in Kingsport. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Nursie Delaney; infant twins, Tammy and Jamie Norman; two sisters Mickey and Lola and one brother Robert. Pauline is survived by her daughter, Donletta Watts (Leonard); granddaughters, Brittney and Brionna; great-grandchildren, Jayce and Makeila; sisters, Thelma Burks (William), Helen Gaines, Tippy Anderson, Barbara Withers, Rosalie Walker (Ernest); brother, Harrison Delaney (Phyllis); and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Mt Zion Tabernacle Church, 386 Dunbar Street, Kingsport, TN, with Pastor Lester Turner officiating.
