Pearl Mae Thacker

Pearl Mae Winegar Thacker, 99, of Church Hill, entered into rest with God on Thursday morning (December 25, 2014) at her residence. She was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn Thacker; her son, Tom Thacker; grandson, Tommy Thacker; great grandson, Dawson Fugate; parents, Mack & Mattie Page Winegar; along with four brothers and three sisters. Pearl Thacker is survived by Billy G. Winegar; Jim and Sue Thacker; daughter, Polly Thacker and special friends, Billy Lyons, Aaron Russell and Andy Derrick; grandchildren, Kathy & Harold Derrick, Mellissa Barton, Mike Winegar, Vickie Thacker, Tina Fugate, Steve Winegar and Tammy & Mark Taylor; great grandchildren, Lesley Derrick, Brad and Sam Barton, Alex and Kirstie Winegar, Kayla Matlock, Aaron Matlock, special angels, Brettney Barton, Angel Smith, Jordan Thacker, Kobe Derrick, Tiah Derrick; great-great grandchildren, Shelton Winegar, Isaiah Matlock, Elim Barton, Kyleigh Lynn Winegar, expecting Ebbin Barton. Calling hours will be held on Sunday (December 28, 2014) from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill. A funeral service will be conducted on Sunday (December 28, 2014) at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel with Elder Neal Drinnon, officiating. A graveside service will follow the funeral on Sunday (December 28, 2014) at Elm Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery, Church Hill, with Aaron Russell, Steve Winegar, Mikey Winegar, Alex Winegar, Lisa Barton, Mark Taylor, and Tony Matlock serving as pallbearers. Billy Lyons will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill is serving the Thacker family.
