Pearl Marie Jones

Pearl Marie Jones, 87, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Pearl was the owner/operator of the Yellow Cab Company in Kingsport where she drove for over 25 years. She was known as a loving mother, grandmother and hard worker. Pearl was known as Granny Pearl and was loved by everyone that knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Jones; parents, John and Leota Stapleton; children, Roger Stapleton, Robert N. Hood, Carolyn J. Griffith and Johnny W. Hood; great granddaughter, Sophia Grace Sexton. She is survived by her sons, Allyn Hood and Randy Collins; daughters, Mary Hass and husband Robert and Vanessa Pickle and husband Raymond; nineteen grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 11 am to 1 pm on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport. A service will be held at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Ralph Owens and Rev. Rick Murrell officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, Tennessee. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport, is serving the Jones family.
