Porter David Howard

Porter David Howard, age 70, of Church Hill, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017 at his home. He was raised on Mountain View School Road and loved living in the mountains. He had worked in construction and carpentry for many years, having been employed by Clyde-Jennings Construction. Most of all, he enjoyed being with his family, especially his granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Sarah Howard; and brothers, Johnny, Michael and Ray Howard. He is survived by his 2 children, Tracy Smith (Ray) and Jamie Howard; grandchildren, David Smith and Joshua Smith and fiance', Brittany Manis; great-granddaughter, Kylie Smith; brothers, Wilbur Howard and wife, Elsie and Roger Howard and wife, Anita. There will be a memorial service held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill. A private burial will be held at a later time. Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill is proudly serving the Howard family.
