Reba Jean Wells

Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. - Proverbs 31:10

Reba Jean Wells, age 88, of Church Hill went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 30, 2025. Jean was born in Blackwater, VA to Clyde and Mary Williams on October 7, 1937. She loved spending time with all of her family and enjoyed cooking for them. Jean loved trips to the beach and working in her flower garden. Jean will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family. 

In addition to her parents Jean is preceded in death by her husband of 72 years Owen Wells; siblings Martha Carter, Rosella McCann, Wanda Burgan, Ann Simpson, and Guy Williams. 

Those left to cherish her memory is her daughter Theresa Wells; sons John Wells and Larry Wells; grandchildren Michelle Milton, Tasha Mullins, and David Wells; siblings Brenda Estep, Lula Shelton, Patsy Lawson, Carl Williams, JD Williams, and Herman Williams; as well as a host of extended family and friends. 

A visitation of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home – Kingsport from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with funeral service at 12:00 pm with Bobby Flowers officiating. A graveside service will follow at Holston View Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
