Richard Allen Wells II, age 56, passed away peacefully at Holston Valley Hospital on Sunday, October 29, 2023, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer to spend eternity in heaven.
Richard was born on December 19, 1966, in Nuremberg, Germany, to the parents of Richard Allen Wells and Judy Carolyn McConnell.
Richard was a 1985 graduate of Sullivan Central High School and had several careers over the years. However, for the last 10 years, he has been cooking for the preschool at first Baptist Church where he has been a long time member.
Richard was preceded in death by his father, Richard Allen Wells; maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents, several aunts uncles and cousins, not to mention his beloved dog, Nikko.
Left here to cherish his memory, is his mother, Judy McConnell; sister, Katrina Wells; nephew, MaKeegan Wells, and wife, Megan; great nephews, Gaige, Bentley, and Josiah Wells; several aunts, uncles and cousins; family friend of 37 years, Lisa Lebair; and so many wonderful friends inside the church community and outside to list.
A Celebration of Life will be Sunday, November 5th, 2023, at First Baptist Church Atrium Kingsport, TN at 2pm.
