Rick Leftwich

January 4, 1947 — May 3, 2025

Rick Leftwich, 78, of Kingsport entered eternal rest on Saturday, May 3, 2025. He served his country in the US Air Force. Rick was retired from Eastman Chemical Company. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jo Anna Leftwich; parents, Jack H. and Margaret Rhondes Leftwich; brother, Jack Hugh Leftwich, Jr. (Jackie).

He is survived by his daughter, Melissa D. Quillen (Missy) and husband Greg; son, Jackson L Leftwich (Jackie) and wife, Vicki; grandchildren, Courtney Smith, Austin Leftwich and Cheyenne Patrick and husband Peyton, Katelyn Draine and husband Michael, and Ethan Quillen; great-grandchildren,  Everett Jo, Tinsley, Rex, Knox, and Wilder; sisters, Pat Boggs and husband Damon “Spunky”; special friends, Tom and Peggy Jayne; friends in Chapter C Motorcycle Group; along with a host of friends and extended family. 

The family will receive friends from 11am to 1pm on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Phil Wittemore officiating. 

A graveside service will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park with family and friends serving as pallbearers. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
