Robert B. White
May 30, 1942 — Jan 9, 2017
Robert B. White, Sr. went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 9, 2017 at his home.
Bob spent his life always learning. He had degrees in Animal Husbandry, Horse Shoeing, Accounting and Business Administration. He had been a licensed electrician and was a remodeling contractor, as he loved working with his hands as well as using his mind.
Bob was confirmed at age 14 and his confirmation verse was 1Peter 5:8; "Be self-controlled and alert, your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour." Because idle hands being the devils playground, Bob was always doing something for someone or busy working on something.
Our sons are testaments as to his values and seeking knowledge. He was so proud of their success and families. With the four grandchildren, he could see them growing and could tell they were loved and happy. Alex, our first granddaughter, received her Master Degree just before his passing.
Seeing other parts of our Country was one thing he really enjoyed, also. We even saw some parts of Central and South America. History, Geography, and Genealogy were his hobbies.
Horses and NASCAR were his passion. Because of his love for the Lord, he liked teaching Bible classes and Sunday school, always eager for church and monthly men's breakfasts.
We were married for over 52 wonderful years, had 2 fantastic sons who married amazing women who gave us 4 sensational grand-children, And Bob always said, " I am truly Blessed by God."
Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later.
Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the White family.
