Ruby Mae Horn

Ruby Horn, age 89, of Kingsport, TN, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

She was of the Primitive Baptist faith.

Ruby was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Teresa Horn; husband, John Horn of Kingsport, TN; parents, Garnie Vance Horn and Carlos Horn of Taylorsville, NC; two sisters, Verlee Horn and Wanda Horn-Barber of Taylorsville, NC; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph and Louise Horn of Statesville, NC., and Clyde and Gay Horn of Stoney Point, NC.

Surviving her are her daughter, Janie Horn of Kingsport, TN; her grand-cat, Tara Horn; one brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Janet Horn of Hiddenite, NC; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am till 12:00 pm on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Carter Trent-Kingsport. Burial will follow at Sulphur Springs Cemetery, Jonesborough, TN, with Steven Spell officiating. Pallbearers will be nephews and friends.
