SAMUEL BRUCE GILLIAM Kingsport- Samuel Bruce Gilliam, 64, formerly of Atlanta, Georgia who had resided for the past 10 years in Nashville passed away unexpectedly at his residence on December 20th, 2016. He retired from Grady Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Following retirement, he loved being with his friends and shopping. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Pollie Gilliam; a sister, Carolyn Coley. Samuel Bruce Gilliam is survived by his niece, Gail Johnson and husband, R.J.; nephews, Brett Coley and wife Marcia, Tim Coley and wife Chrissy, his great nephew, Matthew Johnson; his great nieces, Brooke Shaffer, Heather Shaffer, Anna Coley; great great nephews, Asher and Kingston. A visitation will be held on Wednesday (January 4, 2017) at Scott County Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to your local animal shelter.
