Shane Robert Shriner
May 26, 1999 — Jun 26, 2026
Shane Robert Shriner, age 27, of Surgoinsville, TN, peacefully transitioned from this earthly life into eternity on Friday, June 26, 2026, surrounded by love.
Shane was born on May 26, 1999, in Baltimore, MD to his devoted parents, Scott and Kathie Shriner. From his earliest days, Shane’s heart beat in rhythm with music; a gifted guitarist, passionate rapper, talented composer, and creative producer whose artistry brought joy and connection to all who heard it. Music was more than a talent for Shane; it was his voice, his expression, and his way of showing love to the world.
He cherished many genres, especially rap and metal, and poured his heart into every note, lyric, and sound he shared. Shane was also a visual artist who found peace in painting and drawing, and he held a deep love for the warmth of the sun and the beauty of nature. Whether he was creating or exploring, his spirit was always vibrant, curious, and generous.
Shane was preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, Charles “Pop” Gatewood Jr.; grandmother, Cheryl “Mom Mom” Shriner; aunt, Wanda Sue Harris; and niece, Quinnlee Shriner.
He leaves behind a family who adored him: his parents Scott and Kathie Shriner; brother Scottie Shriner and wife Diamond; nephew Easton Shriner; grandfather Mike “Poppy” Shriner; grandmother Edith “Mamaw” Gatewood; and many loving uncles, aunts, cousins, and cherished friends who carry his memory in their hearts.
Shane’s light - warm, radiant, and full of soul - will forever shine in the music he created, the memories he gifted, and the hearts he touched.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Carter Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A memorial service will follow, officiated by Josh McMillan.
