Shirley Ann Deel

Shirley Ann Deel, age 78, of Church Hill, TN, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 22, 2015, peacefully at her home surrounded by her children and family by her side. She attended Providence Church in Church Hill. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floydie and Myrtle Bishop; 2 spouses, Glenn C. Deel and Joe Taylor; son, Charles K. Deel; and brother, William "Bud" Bishop. She is survived by her son, Tim Deel; daughters, Tammy Palmer (Mark) and Deborah Deel (Jeremy Toothman); brothers and sisters, Carroll Bishop of Gate City, VA, Anita Louise Long, of Rogersville, TN, Judy Waycaster of Gate City, VA, Larry Bishop (Wanda) of Church Hill, TN, Patricia Bishop of Gate City, VA, Kathy Smith Young of Big Stone, VA and Karen Qualls (David) of Duffield; grandchildren, Stephanie Murray, Ken Johnson II, Brian Palmer and Kristin Palmer; great-grandchildren, Christian Murray, Sebastian Murray and Natlaie Grace Palmer; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Scott County Funeral Home in Weber City, VA. Funeral services will begin at 7:00 pm with Rev. Joe Hill and Rev. Joel Trigg officiating. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Holston View Cemetery in Weber City.
