Theodore Roy Keiser, 83, of Surgoinsville, passed away due to complication from a stroke.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, he has lived in several parts of the country, having moved here in the latter part of his life. A psychologist, he received his Masters degree from William and Mary College. He enjoyed organic gardening and was a skilled woodworker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Josephine Keiser.
He is survived by his wife, Sueva Bowles Keiser; two sons, Robert Keiser, Webster, NH and Adam Keiser and wife Dana, Concord, NH and granddaughter, Sophia.
The family will receive friends from 5 till 7pm Saturday (March 7th, 2015) at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill. A service will follow at 7pm with Rev. Jerry Jones officiating.
Honorary pallbearers are Preston Logsdon, Lance Bailey, Brian Givens, Tom Bowlin, Randy Frye, Jim Vaughn, Jack Ward and Jim Von Bramer and the Hawkins and Sullivan County NET Tram drivers.
Special thanks should go to Dr. Brandon Moore and staff, Corrie Brown, Arial Bates and all the staff of Indian Path Medical Center and to Shelby and Steve Albridge.
Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill is serving the Keiser family.
