Kingsport - Thomas James Huskisson, 67 of Kingsport passed into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, September 21, 2023. Thomas was employed at the City of Kingsport as Systems Analyst and was a former employee of Northeast State Community College where he worked as Systems Manager and Adjunct Professor. He worked diligently to help with the student Capstone program. Thomas enjoyed time with his family and worship with his Lord and Savior but most of all he enjoyed sharing the good news of the Salvation of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Anna Lee Huskisson.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Sharon Short Huskisson; step-sons, William, Joshua, and Matthew Housewright; granddaughters, Kylie and Everleigh Housewright; sister, Marcia and husband Larry McElroy; brother, Robbie and wife Teresa Huskisson; several nieces and nephews; and the family cat, Tom-Tom.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Monday, September 25, 2023 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home.
A memorial service will follow at 7 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Howard Edmondson and Rev. Larry McElroy officiating. Music will be provided by Annie Gibson and pianist Coby Shaw.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gideons.
Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport is serving the Huskisson family.
