Thomas Lee Overbay

Thomas Lee "Tom" Overbay 79, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Tom was a loving brother and enjoyed spending time with his family. Tom was preceded in death by his mother, Virgie Snodgrass and husband Luther; father, Jerry Overbay; sisters, Pauline Stump and Shirley Horne. Survivors include his brother, Jimmy Snodgrass; sisters, Charlotte Hite and husband James, and Helen Clemmons and husband Jay; along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 4pm to 6pm on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home downtown, Kingsport. A funeral service will follow in the chapel with Pastor Larry Morelock officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11am on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Fordtown Baptist Church Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50am. Carter-Trent Funeral Home is serving the Overbay family.
