Timothy Lane Bailey

Tim Lane Bailey, age 53, of Surgoinsville, went to be with the Lord, on Tuesday (5/26/15) peacefully at home in the arms of his loving wife. Tim was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed carpentry and loved to work with his hands. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting. He was a very proud man and loved his family very much. He was preceded in death by his parents, Buddy and Louise Bailey. He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Bailey; sons, Joshua Wallen (Shawna) of Mt. Carmel, and Zachary Bailey of Mt. Belvue, TX; special niece whom he loved as his own daughter, Amber Taylor and fiance', Jamie Goodman; grandchildren, Adrianna Taylor, Elijah Lane Taylor, and Aubrey Michelle Bailey; 12 brothers and sisters, Donald Bailey, Herman Lee Bailey, Diane Rollins, Dennis Bailey, Betty Bailey, Janet Savoie, Nelda Adams, Cathy Cloud, Patty McAdams, Ricky Bailey, Gary Bailey and Douglas Bailey; brother-in-law whom he loved and thought of as his own brother, Troy Dykes and brother-in-law, Gary Dykes; sister-in-law, Teresa Manis; mother-in-law, Edna Dykes; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Thursday, (5/28/15) at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill. Funeral services will follow with Rev. Mark Weems officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday (5/29/15) at Jones Cemetery in Rogersville. Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill is proudly serving the Bailey family.
