Wedford Junior Marshall

Kingsport - Wedford Junior "Blondie" Marshall, 85 of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and was retired from General Shale Corporation. Wedford is survived by his daughter, Freda Marshall; sons, Ronald Marshall and wife Nancy, Eugene Marshall and Robert Marshall and wife Lynn and Jeff Marshall and wife Sherri; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Marie Trice, Evie Rhodes and Jeanette Garrett and husband Lowell; brothers, Beecher Marshall and wife Faye and Willie Marshall; several nieces and nephews; several step-children. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport. Friends may also call anytime at the home of his son, Jeff Marshall. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Trevor Knight officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Poplar Grove Church Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:55 a.m. Pallbearers will be Mike Lamberson, Wesley Dunn, Joshua Dunn, Oliver Trivette, Christopher Ramey, Robert Henderson, John Williams and Wesley Williams. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Marshall family.
