Barbara Sue Rogers

Barbara “Sue” Rogers, age 72, of Gate City, VA went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. Sue was born in Kingsport, TN to M.D. and Frances Smith. She was a proud graduate of Rye Cove High School Class of 1973. In 1980 Sue married the love of her life, Enoch and after 28 years of marriage he preceded her in death. Sue worked for the glove factory in Duffield, VA and retired after over 25 years of service. Sue loved and dedicated her life to the Lord and enjoyed visiting different churches as long as her health allowed. She was a member of New Melody Church in Fairview. Sue will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Heather Woliver; grandchildren Jasmine Rogers, Jayson Woliver, Emma-Lee Woliver; and Lillie Mae Woliver; siblings Danny Michael Smith and Sherry Lynn Smith; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

A visitation of family and friends will be held at Scott County Funeral Home on Monday, July 27, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 pm with Pastor Jackie Frazier officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date.
