Connie Babb

Connie Babb, 73, of Church Hill passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. 

She was born in Kingsport on December 1, 1950 to the late Roy Johnson and Mary Johnson Stanley. Connie was a nurse at Indian Path Hospital for over 20 years before her retirement in 2013. She was a loving wife, mother, nana, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Paul Stanley. 

Survivors include her loving husband of 45 years, Darrell Babb; son, Joey Wagner; stepson, Bryan Babb; stepdaughter, Elizabeth Finch; six grandchildren; special great-grandchildren; Ryleigh Dorton and Ember Bowen; 5 additional great-grandchildren; sisters, Rose Harris, Patty Cass, and Jenny Weidig; along with a host of friends and extended family.  

The family will receive friends from 11am to 1pm on Friday, August 9, 2024 at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Daryl Houseright officiating. Music will be provided by the Hensleys.

A graveside service will follow at Holston View Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Nurses on A600 at Holston Valley, Amedysis Hospice along with her family and friends for their loving care.
