Dwight Allen Hood

Nov 26, 1967 — Jul 30, 2026

Dwight “Allen” Hood passed away peacefully on July 30th at his residence, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and the love of those who knew him best. A proud graduate of Rye Cove High School, Allen had a lifelong love of football and carried that passion with him throughout his life.

He found peace in the outdoors while hunting and fishing, and he could often be found in his garage, happily working on old cars. Whether restoring a classic vehicle or lending a helping hand, Allen enjoyed working with his hands and took pride in fixing things. Above all, Allen will be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His quiet strength, generous heart, and unwavering love for his family left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy lives on through the family he loved so dearly and the countless memories they shared.

Allen was preceded in death by his loving grandmother, Edna Hood; his father, Otis Ketron; his Pap, Philip Wills; and his mother Betty Wills. He is lovingly remembered by his sister, Vickie and Shelly Ketron; his son, Jonathon Hood and wife, Kaitlyn; his daughter, Alisha Perkins and husband, Justin; and his son, Aaron Hood.

Nothing brought Allen greater joy than his six grandchildren, who were truly the light of his life: Jackson Hood, Julia Hood, Jayden Perkins, Cara Perkins, Austin Perkins, and Elias Perkins. He treasured every moment spent with them, creating memories they will carry with them forever.

The family will forever hold Allen in their hearts and find comfort in knowing they will see him again.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Carter Trent / Scott County Funeral Home in Weber City. A memorial service honoring Allen’s life will follow with Evangelist Garry Hood officiating.
