Lisa Diane Jones

Lisa Diane Jones, 68, of Gate City went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Kingsport to Robert and Eva Bowen. Diane worked at Holston Valley Medical Center for over 10 years in the EVS department. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family. Diane was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Jones; mother, Eva Bowen; maternal grandmother, Mannie Lewis.

Survivors include her daughter, Carol Massey and husband Mike; grandchildren, Christian Jones, Alexa Jones, and Nick Massey; brother, Jeff Bowen and wife Helen; fiancé, Harold Ketron; father, Robert Bowen; special niece, Michelle Bailey; along with a host of friends and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 11am to 1pm on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Dewayne Chappell.

A graveside service will follow at Holston View Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
