Nancy Fields-Burke, 87, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.
She was born in Tazewell, VA, to the late Samuel Robinson Sr. and Margaret Castle Robinson. From an early age Nancy sang with her brothers and sisters in a gospel group. She retired from Atmos Energy in 1996 after 32 years of service. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family, flower and vegetable gardening, baking, and cooking. She was a charter member of Higher Ground Baptist Church and a current member of Oak Drive Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Garland Fields; second husband, Paul Burke; sisters, Charlene Surber and Patricia Davis; brothers, Sam and Franklin Robinson.
Survivors include her son, Wes Fields and wife Sandy; granddaughters, Beth Clendenin and husband Rusty, and Carly Brashears and husband Chase; great grandchildren, Libby-Hope and Ryder Clendenin; sister, Janette Addington; sister-in-law, Vickie Robinson; devoted nephew, Bobby Davis; close friend, Dorothy Gasky; along with several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 1pm to 2:30pm on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Eddie Whitley officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted at the Austin Family Cemetery in Castlewood, VA.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Brookdale Kingsport Assisted Living for their loving care.
