Coring Cory Mankowski
Sep 18, 1946 — Mar 12, 2026
Coring Mankowski, lovingly known as "Cory," of Waukesha, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, at the age of 79.
Cory was born on September 18, 1946, in Merrill, Wisconsin, to Harold H. and Lorraine M. Bettin (nee Fischer). She dedicated much of her professional life as a nurse and later as a Executive Director with Laureate Group, where she was known for her leadership, compassion, and dedication.
Cory found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved playing cards with her family, creating handmade greeting cards with friends, fostering dogs for several local rescue groups, and cheering on her beloved Green Bay Packers. Her kindness, creativity, and love for both people and animals brought warmth to everyone who knew her.
She will be deeply missed by her loving children, Ann (Ian) Bernard and Michael (Stephanie) Mankowski; her cherished grandchild, Grace (Colton) Wightman; her sisters, Susan (Gary) Esker and Pauline Dettmann; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Cory was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Lorraine Bettin; her brother, Mark; and her brother-in-law, Terry.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
