Donna Evelons

Donna Jean Evelons, age 80, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, surrounded by her three loving children.

Donna was born on March 20, 1946 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital in Waukesha, Wisconsin to Leroy and Nathalie (Tetzlaff) Steffen. She spent her earliest years growing up in Sussex, Wisconsin and later moved to Waukesha in 1957 and became a lifelong resident spending her final 4 years living at Avalon Square in Waukesha.

Donna attended Waukesha South High School graduating in the Class of 1964. It was in Waukesha that she met Andrew Evelons in 1961. She married Andrew, the love of her life, on January 9, 1965. They remained together for 55 years until Andrew's passing in 2020.

Donna and Andrew had 3 children. Tammy Evelons, Andy Scott Jr. (Misty) Evelons and Tracy (Neil) Koppelman, all of Waukesha. Her children were her absolute pride and joy.

Donna leaves behind her 3 children; her brother Daniel (Donna) Steffen and her sister Michele Steffen; her brother-in-law Karl (Diane) Evelons and sister-in-law Judy Steffen and also many cousins, nieces, nephew, great nieces, great nephews and many dear friends.

Along with being a loving wife and mother, Donna worked for 22 years as a receptionist/insurance manager for an orthodontist in Waukesha. She loved working in her yard and gardening. Donna loved flowers. Back in the day, she and Andrew enjoyed going to classic car shows and following their favorite teams, the Packers and the Brewers. She was especially an avid fan of each team. Donna loved getting her nails done with her daughter Tracy and asking Tammy and Andy Scott about her furry grandchildren, their pets. She was notorious for telling all her children to "just go have some fun." A few of many things that will be missed.

Donna had a huge heart for everyone. From lifelong friends, to new friends she made at Avalon, to her nurses, her PT, her OT...everyone let her family know she was such a kind, sweet and caring person.

Donna is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Evelons, her parents Leroy and Nathalie Steffen and her brother, Rick Steffen.

Her children will miss her deeply, but have peace in their hearts knowing that she is reunited with her dear husband that she missed every day since his passing. May they rest in peace for eternity.

The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, at Aurora Summit Hospital in Oconomowoc and the staff at Avalon Square. Their loving care and support meant the world to both Donna and her family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
