Doris B Kramer

Nov 3, 1930 — Oct 9, 2026

Doris Kramer, loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and caregiver passed away peacefully Friday, October 9th, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 95. Doris was born to Ervin and Evelyn (Staab) Bloede on Monday, November 3, 1930. She graduated from Waukesha High School with the class of 1948. She married L. James Kramer, her beloved husband of 65 years on October 23, 1954. He preceded her in death on September 25, 2019.

She is survived by loving son Kyle J. (Gale) Kramer of New Berlin, and cherished daughter Susan B. (Edward Coleman) Kramer, also of New Berlin, grandsons Austin (Kara) and Hudson Kramer along with her favorite granddaughter Kimberly (Hannah ThomasClarke) Kramer, and great grandsons Emmery and Daxton Kramer. Her children and her home were her pride and joy. Further surviving her are special nieces and nephews and their families. Along with her dear husband Jim, she was predeceased by her treasured son Kenneth P. Kramer, who she deeply missed, her brother William (Carol) Bloede, her sister June (Joseph) Jackson and her ever loyal and loving companion Mister Pug.

Doris was a 35 year member of the Waukesha Service Club and a long time member of Merrill Hills Country Club, golfing well into her 80's.

She enjoyed musical theater, concerts in the park, tailgating, gardening, occasional bridge games, needle work, walks on the beach, a glass of red wine, decorating her home (especially at Christmas time), and entertaining her family with gifts and surprises. She could make a party out of any occasion.

Doris especially enjoyed annual weekends in Door County with all four generations of her family, yearly trips to Hilton Head each winter with Jim, and traveling with Sue.

She was a gentle, caring person devoting her life to her family. She was happiest when those she loved were all together. She was loving, giving, witty, creative, selfless, fun, imaginative, and the world's greatest mom.

When we were growing up we thought we were just a regular family, doing what every family did - eating meals together and celebrating family milestones. We didn't understand how extraordinary those times were. But we do now and we love her for it.

Love . . . Kyle & Sue.

To honor her wishes, no service will be held.
