Elizabeth Krupka

Krupka, Elizabeth “Betty” (née Stueber) Of New Berlin, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026, at the age of 96 years. She was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life, Bud.

Betty was born in Junction City, WI, the daughter of Edward and Catherine Stueber. She married Clarence “Bud” Krupka and became the other half of a whole. While Bud earned his degree at Marquette, Betty delighted in sharing her own degree—PHT: Puttin’ Hubby Through.

Together, Betty and Bud built a life filled with simple joys: fishing and enjoying their northern Wisconsin cottage, gardening, and canning the fruits of their labor. They grew raspberries for jam and tended apple trees that became the foundation of her unforgettable apple pie. Betty also pursued her own creative passions. She was a talented painter, a formidable Word Feud opponent, and an excellent seamstress, always willing to laugh at her flops and humble about her successes.

A ray of sunshine to everyone she met, Betty welcomed others with warmth, love, and her signature big smile.

Betty will be dearly missed by her children, Katherine (Bob) Dickey of Fox Point, WI; Tom (Janet) Krupka of Simpsonville, SC; and Mary (Tom) Hoover of Cape Coral, FL. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Paul Dickey (Paul Carlson), Michelle (Pietro) Giovenco, Theresa (Seth) Kiser, Stephen Krupka, Adam Hoover, Stephanie Hoover, Kevin (Marissa) Hoover, and David (Crystal) Hoover; her great‑grandchildren, Hazel, Enzo, Nella, John, Everson, Nora, and Everleigh; and her sister, Yvonne Stueber. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Betty was the last of the Greatest Generation in her family, and her stairway to heaven is full. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud; her parents; and many other beloved relatives and friends.

A visitation for Betty will be held from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, October 9, 2026, at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 16000 West National Ave., New Berlin, WI 53151. Burial will immediately follow at Holy Apostles Catholic Cemetery in New Berlin. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Friends of the New Berlin Public Library, 15105 Library Lane, New Berlin, WI 53151.
