Gary L Higbee
Aug 21, 1941 — Oct 2, 2026
Gary L. Higbee passed away on October 2, 2026, at the age of 85, surrounded by the love and care of his family.
Throughout his life, Gary proudly held many titles: son, husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, friend, and neighbor. To those fortunate enough to know him, he was also someone you could always count on for a helping hand, good advice, a great story, or simply a conversation.
Gary proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Military Policeman from 1960 to 1962. An entrepreneur at heart, Gary started his own business, Alien Import Auto Parts, in 1979. Through hard work, determination, and a personality that made it easy for him to connect with people, Gary built a business and career that spanned nearly five decades before his retirement in 2006.
On November 7, 1980, Gary married the love of his life, Connie. Together for almost 46 years, they built a life filled with family, friendship, hard work, laughter, and countless memories. During the final months of Gary’s life, he was lovingly cared for at home by his wife Connie. Connie and the family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to nurse Sara D., the ProHealth Care Hospice team and AngelsGrace Hospice for their exceptional care, kindness, compassion and support they all provided.
A memorial service for Gary will take place on Friday, October 16, 2026, at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM and continue until the start of the memorial service at 12:00 PM. Gary will be laid to rest at a later date in a private ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Gary’s honor may be made to AngelsGrace Hospice.
