James Dundon

James M. Dundon passed away on March 25, 2026, at the age of 83. He was born in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, on February 18, 1943, to parents John and Loretto Dundon (nee Sherman). James graduated from Marquette High School and, following graduation, enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, proudly serving his country during the Vietnam War.

On February 18, 1978, he married the love of his life, Clare. James was an avid gardener who loved working with his hands and would fix just about anything. He and his wife Clare were founding members of the Lake Country Swingers and were also active in the Spring City Square Dance community. James had a passion for music, especially playing guitar and singing in the church choir, and he formed many lasting friendships within the Milwaukee country music scene. James was a friend of Bill W. for over 44 years

James will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Clare; his sisters, Sister Mary Catherine, SSND, and Frances “Francie” (Ron) DuPont; his sisters-in-law, Christine Dundon and Fran Dundon; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Loretto; and his siblings, Thomas Dundon, Betty Gaffney, Monica Olsen, Stan Dundon, Peter Dundon, and Jane Barni.

The visitation for James will be held on April 23, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. Until the start of the Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony on the Lake, W280N2101 Prospect Avenue, Pewaukee, Wisconsin 53072. Memorials are appreciated to Santisimo Sacramento, Piura, Peru - sister parish of St. Anthony on the Lake, St. Anthony on the Lake, School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSND), Central Pacific Province Retirement Fund, or Become a regular blood donor
