Kathleen M. Plotz
Sep 19, 1951 — Jul 6, 2026
Kathleen M. Plotz (née Dieringer) passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026, at the age of 74.
Born on September 19, 1951, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Kathleen was the beloved daughter of Wayne and Arlien Dieringer (née Rockett). She graduated from Waukesha South High School. She worked at ValuCare Pharmacy and later spent many years working at Hallmark in Waukesha, where she enjoyed helping others.
On April 15, 1972, Kathleen married the love of her life, John Plotz. Their marriage was built on love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. She affectionately called him "Dear," a simple but meaningful reflection of the special bond they shared throughout their 54 years of marriage.
Kathleen found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved curling up with a good romance novel or an intriguing murder mystery. She had a creative spirit and was always happy working on crafts, finding joy in making things with her hands. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she was delighted in collecting Christmas ornaments, each one holding a special memory. Music was always close to her heart, and she enjoyed listening to Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles, Phil Collins, Josh Groban, Celine Dion, Michael Bublé, and One Direction.
Above all, Kathleen's greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and family. Whether celebrating the holidays, sharing stories, or simply being together, those moments meant the world to her. Her gentle heart, warm smile, and caring nature touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Kathleen will be deeply missed by her loving husband, John Plotz; her beloved children, Matthew (Traci) Plotz, Kerry (Keith) Solum, Grandkids: Andrew John Plotz, Thomas Marvin Plotz, Patrick Matthew Plotz, Emily Lynn Solum, Clayton Solum, Siblings: Wayne (Sarah) Dieringer, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends, and relatives who were blessed to know and love her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Arlien Dieringer, and brother Garry Dieringer.
A visitation for Kathleen will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until the start of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Cesarz Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to local Parkinson's disease organizations.
Kathleen's love, kindness, and the memories she created with those she held dear will be treasured always. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends for generations to come. May she rest in peace.
