Kay Sprague

Kay Sprague, 85, of Waukesha died Sunday, April 29, 2018 at The Center For Advanced Care in Milwaukee, WI. She was born May 8, 1932 to Ralph and Frances (nee Kozak) Wright. Kay graduated from Waukesha High School. She retired in July of 1995 from The Waukesha Freeman. For 65 years Kay was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary, along with State President, member of the Past State Presidents Club, inductee into the Wisconsin State Auxiliary Hall of Fame and Waukesha Auxiliary Hall of Fame, and Mother of the Year. She was a long time member of Evangelical & Reformed United Church of Christ. Kay is survived by daughter Trish Bakalars, son Denny (Amy) Stone, and Daughter-in-law Louise Stone. Grandchildren; John Bakalars II, Amy (Jeff) Ascher, Michael Stone, and Kaitlin Stone (Sam Keck). Brothers; Jay Wight and Jerry (Sharon) Wright, and sisters; Mary (John) Bousman and Carol Yule. Great grandchildren; Kaiden, Madeline, Kinley, and Easton Ascher, Macy and Preston Stone. Great Grand-critters; Sushi, Cody, Tiger, Mogul, Abby, and Ollie. Additional family include; T.J. & Kristine (Wright), Raymond and Atticus Kelm; John & Connie (Wright), Rebecca, Kevin and Kyle Coan; John & Theresa (Wright), John Jr, Megan and Andrew Setter; Edward & Kathy (Wright) and Jacob Brown; Michael & Kimberly, Brittany, Brandyn and Logan Wright; Brian & Jennifer, Sarah Wright Bailey and David Wright; Brian Yule; Renee (Steven) Punsack; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Kay’s Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until the start of services at 3:00 p.m. at Evangelical & Reformed United Church of Christ, 413 Wisconsin Ave, Waukesha, WI. Rev. Dr. Bob Gross will be officiating. A private burial will be held at Prairie Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to the family.
