Michael Sprecher

Aug 8, 1963 — Oct 1, 2026

Michael David “Mike” Sprecher, age 63, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2026, following a short battle with cancer. He was born on August 8, 1963, to David and Sharon Sprecher.

Mike graduated from Waukesha North High School and later attended Northwestern Bible College. On August 24, 1985, he married the love of his life, Barbara (nee Wiesenthal) Sprecher. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, friendship, and many cherished memories. They were blessed with two children, Sarah and Jon.

Throughout his career, Mike worked as a bookkeeper at Office Doctors and most recently drove a school bus for First Student. He was a familiar and friendly face to many, and he truly enjoyed being around people.

Mike was involved with Spring City Squares and Oakwood Church. He had a love for square dancing, geocaching, and camping, but some of his favorite moments were simply spent with his family. He especially cherished time with his grandchildren and loved being surrounded by the people who meant the most to him. Mike had a way of making connections with others and never seemed to meet a stranger.

Those who knew Mike will remember his sense of humor, his love of people, and his unique way of looking at life. One of his favorite sayings was, “This is for the birds.” It was a phrase that perfectly captured a little bit of Mike's personality and will undoubtedly bring a smile to the faces of those who knew and loved him.

Mike will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 41 years, Barbara; his children, Sarah (Matthew) and Jon (Nicole); his grandchildren, Logan, Quinton, and Wesley; his sister, Shelly (Mike) Rynearson; his beloved dog, Honey; along with many extended family members, friends, and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Sharon Sprecher, and his grandparents.

A memorial service celebrating Mike's life will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Oakwood Church, 3041 Oakwood Rd, Hartland, WI 53029. Visitation will begin at 9 AM and continue until the start of the memorial service at 10 AM.
