Peter Mark Laper

Peter Laper, age 62, of Pewaukee, joined his parents, Phyllis and Florian, in heaven on December 31, 2017. Peter will be remembered as the loving head of a growing family, a career pilot, and a dedicated member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Born in Fairwater, Wisconsin on May 12, 1955, Peter went on to graduate from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Master's in Business Administration. He married his best friend, Cindy Cooper, on August 25, 1984 and recently celebrated their 33th wedding anniversary. Together, they raised their children in Pewaukee, traveled frequently, were avid Badger football fans, and spent as much time as possible with their grandchildren. Among his remaining family are his wife Cindy; his daughters Chelsey (Dexter) Runyard and Carly (Joe) Kramer; his son Phillip; his five granddaughters: Emma Runyard, MacKenna Runyard, Lucy Kramer, Josie Kramer, and Olivia Kramer; his brother Patrick (Kathleen) Laper; and his sister Joanne (Al) Arroyo, and their families. The visitation for Peter will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018, from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the 2:30 p.m. funeral service at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1415 Dopp St. Waukesha, WI 53188. The Rev. Chris Marien will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the church (see address above) or to a charity of the donor's choice.
