Thomas M Vassel

Thomas M Vassel died on April 20th at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 83. 

Thomas taught first at Park View Middle School and then went to Mukwonago High School. Thomas wanted to be a teacher. He felt he could help the students who did not want to go to college to have a successful filling life by learning trade occupations within the tech field. Thomas was the director of the V.I.C.A club at Mukwonago High School. This is his most proud accomplishment. Through the years, Thomas met a number of his ex-students who thanked him for helping them stay in school.

Thomas grew up in Cudahy, Wisconsin, and served in the US military- Army. Where he did a tour of duty in Vietnam. He married his wife, Jane, and had two children, Ryan and Arianna. He was very proud of his daughter in law Cindy and his two grandchildren, Carter and Camryn. Thomas has three remaining siblings, Kristine, Katherine, and Diane.

His services will be held at Corpus Christi Parish- St Mary’s (225 S Hartwell Ave, Waukesha, Wi 53186) on May 8th. The viewing will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Church services will start at 11:00 am with a full military honor guard. 
Thomas always loved roller coasters and taught anybody who went with him how to enter the park the correct way to maximize the rides before lunchtime.
