Wayne W. Mayhew, of Eagle, WI, passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, April 14, 2017. He was born on October 26, 1949, the son of Laverne and Ursulla (nee Washburn) Mayhew. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Wayne enjoyed woodworking and was an avid golfer. For 5 years, he worked at his dream job at Kettle Moraine Golf Club. Most of all, Wayne loved spending time with his family.
Wayne will be deeply missed by his wife of 44 years, Sherry; children, Nikki (Al) Holt and Jodee (Nick) Pokorny; grandchildren, Justinn, Marcus, Jacob, and Alec; and siblings, Earl, Joyce, and Gary Mayhew and Sharon Dunell. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, siblings; Judd and Richard Mayhew, and Dawn Wickersham, and friends.
A memorial service for Wayne will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Kettle Moraine Golf Club, W365 S4299 WI-67 Dousman, WI 53118. A Celebration of Wayne's life will immediately follow from 1:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the golf club (see address above). In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the American Cancer Society, N19 W24350 Riverwood Dr, Waukesha, WI 53188.
