Brownie A Chasteen

Brownie A Chasteen, 89, with family by his side, passed away September 3, 2026 at his home in Port Charlotte, FL.

Known as “Jack” by his Ohio family, he was born in 1937 to the late Brownie Sr and Ethel Chasteen in Hamilton Ohio. He later married Sandy Kalberer in 1958 and remained happily married for 68 years.

Brownie was a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Union #392, and the Moose Lodge, He was also an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and an avid fisherman as well.

In addition to his parents Brownie is preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Chasteen, and his daughter, Deborah Chasteen.

Survivors include his loving wife, Sandy Kalberer Chasteen, one son, Mark (Diane) Chasteen of Port Charlotte, and one daughter, Shelly Chasteen of Cincinnati, OH, as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren.
