Carol Lundgren

Carol Lee Lundgren (Ralston), age 78, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at home in North Port, Florida. She was born June 18, 1947, in Winchester, Massachusetts to George and Marjorie (Horn) Ralston. She was a 1965 graduate of Woburn Memorial High School. She married Richard “Rick” Lundgren on April 24, 1966, in Massachusetts. Rick Lundgren, Sr. preceded her in death July of 2020. They had three children and moved to North Port, Florida in 1979. They established Rick’s Meats one (NP) and two (PC) from1981-1984. She was also co-owner of Aalexander Realty (NP) with Rick. She worked for Publix (Bakery) for several years but retired from Glenallen Elementary with Sarasota County Schools (lunch lady). Carol was active for many years with the Moose and Jaycee’s of NP. Carol truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, going to the casino, sitting at the beach, going out to eat, and spending time with her family and friends. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Richard P. Lundgren Jr. (Dee), Michele (Lundgren) Cox (Bob), and Leslie (Lundgren) Berndt (Dave) in North Port, Fl. She is also survived by her sisters: Marilyn Donovon (NP), Nancy McLaughlin (Mass.), Heidi DiNardi (NP) and her sister-in-law Nancy Lundgren (Mass.), her nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend the joint Celebration of Life for Carol and Rick on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 11 a.m-2 p.m., Charlotte Memorial Funeral/Cemetery, 9400 Indian Springs Cemetery Road, Punta Gorda, Fl. 33950. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to: Tidewell Hospice of Venice, Alzheimer’s Association, or American Cancer Society.
