Howard H Ortel

Howard Ortel, Age-97, of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away at Arcadia Hospice House on September 2nd, 2026.

Howard was born on April 25th, 1929, Karl J. Ortel and Mildred (nee Potter) Ortel in Collins, New York. He married Marion (nee Feldman) on August 28th, 1950, and had three sons; Larry (Desiree) Ortel, Gregory (Mary) Ortel and Brian (Anita) Ortel. He had seven grandchildren and is survived by 5 grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his spouse Marion and a son Larry Ortel and his parents Karl J. and Mildred Ortel and two grandchildren. 

Howard spent his career as a Master Plumber. He and his late wife Marion had 74 wonderful years together, more than half of them spent square dancing. They travelled, via RV throughout the entire United States for many years.

A celebration of Howards life will be celebrated on Monday September 14th, 2026 from 2-4pm at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home 9400 Indian Springs Cemetery Rd. Punta Gorda, FL.
