Joseph Melvin Hart
December 1, 1939 — May 29, 2021
Joseph (Joe) M. Hart of Punta Gorda, Florida passed away under the loving care of Tidewell Hospice on May 29, 2021.
He was 81 years old.
Joe was born on December 1, 1939 to Melvin T. and Margaret M. (Dirscherl) Hart in Baltimore, Maryland.
He proudly served in the Maryland Army National Guard. Over the years he worked in the retail grocery industry.
Joe was also on the Board of the Landsdowne Fire Department (Landsdowne, MD) and a Past Member of the Hawks Pleasure Club (Essex, MD).
Above all, though, Joe sincerely enjoyed helping others and trying to make them happy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Margaret and many aunts and uncles.
He will forever be missed by his loving wife and best friend for 32 years, Linda (Gail) W. Hart; daughter, Kellie (Jim) Goff; son, David Hart; siblings, John (Sue) Hart, Marge (Bill) Knepper, Ted (Gael) Hart, Mike (Bev) Hart; grandchildren, Cara (Tim) Hughes, Jaime Cucchiella, Meghan (Alex) Goodman and Ryan (Katie) Goff; and many beloved great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Joe’s Life will take place on Sunday, June 20, 2021, at 3:00 PM, at the Hawks Pleasure Club, 430 Riverside Drive, Essex, MD 21221. All are welcome to attend.
A second Celebration will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at 1:00 PM, at the Burnt Store Colony Clubhouse, 15550 Burnt Store Road, Punta Gorda, FL 33955.
